MW Design – Project White Flame

THE BRIEF

Meister Werke Design + Technik has worked together with Blitzgear on numerous projects such as Slingshot and Darth Maul. We were challenged to capture the essence of the highly technical Taylor Made R-11 driver and translate it onto a BMW E89 Z4.

THE CONCEPT

Our concept was to reproduce the clean technical pinstripes of the R-11 driver to highlight the Z4 and not to overpower the lines of the vehicle with bold graphics. It truly needed to be subtle to work well.

THE WORK

The E89 Z4 has strong lines and creases, and we decided to accentuate it even more by running a couple of silver pinstripes over the main fender bulges of the vehicle. Each pinstripe ends with intermittent colour blocks matching the R-11 driver. The key elements on the R-11 markings were translated to the roll hoops and side mirrors of the vehicle as well. Final touches were also added to the stepped lip of the massive 20x9F / 20×10.5R Forgestar F10 wheels.
